Joabe Reis is one of the most important artists of the new instrumental jazz in the Brazilian scene.

Joabe is known for playing contemporary jazz, highly influenced by hip-hop, neo soul, funk and pop. His new album, 028 sees him collaborate with Bob Mintzer and Gabriel Grossi.

Joabe is a trombonist, composer and producer. He released his critically acclaimed album in 2020, featured Toninho Horta, Nelson Ayres and New York trombonist Elliot Mason, a member of the Lincoln Center Orchestra. In 2023 he was invited by Macy Gray to play on her Brazilian tour and in the same month he was invited by Toninho Horta to a show in honour of Raul de Souza.
